The Board of Commission*rs met in regular session on Monday. December 7th.
1959, at 10:00 A. M,, with L. A. Tart, Chairman. and Commissioners Worth Lee Byrd.
W. A. Warren, Alex Cameron, present, Commissioner Joe Curran being absent. Also
present were theAuditor and the Clerk to Board. W. A. Taylor served in the absence
of J. R. Young, Attorney.

The Following Road Petitions Were Approved:
(1) To add to State System that road in Anderson Creek Township which
runs from paved road leading west from 401 at Bunnlevel to Highway 210 at
Roy Butts Store.

(2) To add to State System that road in Buckhorn Township which runs
from W. T. Dewar to Mrs. Mamie Douglas. known as Cokesbury River Road
a distance of 1 mile.

Commissioner Byrd moved, seconded by Commissioner Cameron, that the property
in Lillingto ,,,��� n�I}ssh,,�PP lit sd z fiercy Ferrell be reduced from $1600.00 to

Commissioner Byrd moved, seconded by Commissioner Warren, that a non suit
be taken in S.D. # 2843 filed 7 -17 -51 Harnett County VS C. V. Evans since it
appers that taxes and cost have been paid in full. Motion carried.
Commissioner Warren moved, seconded by Commissioner Byrd that Harnett County
Sheriff and the Rural Policemen be allowed actual mileage at rate of 1(4 per
mile for transporting prisoners to and from Harnett County Court House to the
point of destination. Motion carried.
Board ordered that County Offices be closed at end of business Dec. 23rd.
and reopen on Monday Dec. 28th. and remain open to end of business on Thursday
Dec. 31, and reopen Monday January 4th. for the Christmas and New Year.
