HomeMy WebLinkAbout02271959FEBRUARY 27th. 1959 The Board of County Commissioners met in a special session on February 27th. 1959, at 2 o'clock p. m. in the Recorder's Courtroom in Lillington, North Carolina, for tie purpose of opening bids which had been previously advertised for the erection of a new courthouse in Harnett County, at which time the following bidders, with the amount set opposite their names, submitted the following bids for the erection of said courthouse: CONTRACTORS 1. Newcomb and Company 2. Bass Air Conditioning Co. 3. McLeod Electrical Company 1. J. J. Barnes, inc. 2. Faircloth Electrical Co. 3. Modern Electrical Co. 4. There was some misunderstanding in regard to the plans and specifications witn respect to the plumbing, heating, electrical and air con- ditioning work, whereupon the commissioners, in order that all parties might be treated fairly, requested Mr. Frank B. Simpson, the architect, to re- advertise bids for the plumbing, heating, electrical and air conditionsing work, and adjourned said meeting until March 23, 1959, at which time new bids were to be submitted for the plumbing, heating, electrical and air conditioning of said building. The Board of Commissioners will meet again on March 2nd. 1959 Clerk Chairman
