TheBoard of Commissions met in regular session on Monday, October 6th.,
at 10:00 A. M. with all members present with the exception of Commissioner
Currin who was absent at this meeting. Also present were the County Attorney,
the Auditor and the clerk to the Board.

The Following Road Petions were approved:
(1) To pull up and drain that road in Heotor's Creek Township known as
Spence Mill Road a distance of 8/10 miles. -

(2) To grade and maintain 300 feet of Street in Duke Township which
runs from "H Street to "I" Street in Erwin (Petition mailed)
(3) To pull up and grade that road in Johnsonville Township which runs
from A. J. Harrington's place on Highway # 27 to 0. C. Graham's place On Buffaloe
road a distance of 1 -1 /10 miles (Petition mailed)
(4) To grade and drain that road in Barbecue Twp. which runs from that
road near Mayo Cameron Store to a point near G. W. Cameron's place a distance
of 5/10 miles, known as Gordon Road. (Petition mailed)
(5) To grade, clear and place pipe on that roadin Lillington Township which
runs from Shawtown road to .Johnsonville Road a distance of 2/10 miles."

Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Pleasant that the
salary of Mrs. Ruby Currin, Assistant Clerk Superior Court be raised to $275.00,
per month to begin as of October 1st. 1958., Motion carried.
