HomeMy WebLinkAbout07231963911 July 23rd. 1963 the Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Tuesday July 23rd. at 10 :p0 A. M., with all members present. Also with the Board *•sere the Auditor, the Clerk to the Board and the County Attorney. Dr. Eyerman, Health Director, appeared before the Board and discussed revising the budget. The Board accepted the Budget as presented by Dr. Eyerman in the amount of $ 70,798.00, the County's part to be $ 50,761.00. The Board of Commissioners acted on the basis of amended G.S. 44 -66 that the fees for filing and discharging Federal Tax Liens be fixed at $ 2.00 for the filing of each lien and $ 2.00 for the discharging of each lien. The Board ordered that Billy Ray Hardee be refunded the total sum of $ 132.50 paid to Harnett County for the operation of a pool room in Coats, according to G.S. 105 -64 ad) Mr. Hardee was taxed in error by Harnett County. A motion was duly made that tte Extension Service Employee's receive a salary increase of $ 200.00 per year each, in lieu of a 5% increase. Section 4. There is hereby levied a poll tax of $ 2.00 on all male persons in the county between the ages of 21 and 50, unless exempt as provided by law, for the purpose of raising the revenue from Current Year's Poll Tax, as set forth in the foregoing estimates of revenue, and in order to finance the fore- going appropriations. In Townships with the Special Road Fund levy, Poll Tax will be two dollars ($2.00),plus three times the special rates. Section 5. Ctpies of this resolution shall be furnished to the county treasurer and county accountant, to be kept on file by them for their direction in the disbursement of funds.
