The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on
at 2 :00.P.. M. with all members . present.

Tuesday February 19th.,
Mr. Harwell, Tax Appraiser for the revaluation of property in Harnett County
with the -Tax Advisors, appeared before the Board and discussed with them the
tax valuation, of propepty inr2thencounty -
The following Road Petitions Were Approved:
(1) To grade and surface that Street in Erwin known as
Duke Street
(Petition mailed)
(2) To add to
known as. East ttE"
(Petition
the state maintained secondary road system that street
from south 6th.. to south Sth. which is 19/100 miles
mailed)
The Following Resolution was offered by Commissioner Cameron who
moved its adoption. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Byrd.
The Resolution was unanimously adopted by the Board of County Commiss-
ioners Monday night, February 11, 1963.
WHEREAS,

Heavenly Home
R E S O L U T I O N
it has come- to the attention of the Board of County
that Honorable B. P. Ingram has been Balled to his
in the Grew Beyond; and
WHEREAS, in the passing of Mr. Ingram, a native of Randolph
County, who for many years resided in our County where he affiliated
himself with the Democratic Party, which Party honored him by se-
lecting him to serve in various capacities of honor and trust, having
served his County first as a member of the Board of Education and
later as a member of the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ingram served his County faithfully as a most
aggressive and public- spirited citizen and rendered outstanding service
in other fields in public endeavor; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ingram was a devoted husband to his good wife and a
kind and loving father to his three sons, a wise leader and a friend
to numerable people in his adopted County;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF HARNETT COUNTY,
First: That we bow in-humble submission to the Divine Will in
the calling of our friend and associate, Mr. B. P. Ingram tohis
Heavenly Rewards;
Second: That in the death of Mr. Ingram, the County of Harnett
has lost -a great and valuable public servant;
Third: That in the passing of Mr." Ingram, his family has lost
en affectionate and kind husband and father, his numerous friends and
neighbors a trusted friend;
Fourth: That n copy of this Resolution be given to the family
Of Mr. Ingram, a copy to the Press, and a copy spread upon the minutes
of this meeting.
