PECIAL MEETING * * * ** The Board met in special session on December 13, 1971, 9:00 a.m. with the following present: Commissioners M. H. Brock, D. P. Ray, Jr., W. J. Cotton, Jr., and Gilbert Brown. Also, Edward H. McCormcik, County Attorney. ,ACE WORKER FOR HA OFFICE Mr. Watkins, Chairman of FHA, informed the Board that the Federal Gov- ernment would not allow him to hire PACE workers in his office. TAX RATIO FOR THE hOMING YEAR REPAIRS TO DOOR FAG BLD. (ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Brown made a motion to allocate an amount up to $300.00 with which to pay for part time employment or extra help in his office He then amended this motion that an amount up to $250.00 be allocated. Commissioner Ray seconded the motion and it carried. Commissioner Cotton made a motion that the tax ratio be set for the coming year at 65% of true value. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. Chairman Brock asked that the record bear witness that the City of Dunn had communicated by letter and requested that the tax ratio; be allowed to stay the same as the previous year,'which was set at 65% of true value, and that Mayor of Lillington had appeared and asked the Board to consider raising the ratio to 70 %with the possibility of being able to lower the rate per hundred dollar at a later date. Owner of Dunn Glass Company asked for and received permission to change the direction of the swing of the doors to the Agriculture Building. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m. /2 of the Board * * * ** Mr. C. E.
