DJOURNMENT
The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County met in
special session Thursday, November 13, 1969. Those present were:
Messrs. M. H. Brock, Chairman; D. P. Ray, Jr., Uce Chairman;
W. J. Cotton, Jr. and C. E. McLamb.
The meeting convened at 10:00 a.m. in the Industrial Office,
Second Street, Lillington, North Carolina.
Item 1.
The Board met with Mr. Bill Joyce, District State Highway
Commissioner and Mr. N. S. Day, Division Highway Engineer. Mr. Joyce
and Mr. Day discussed the proposed highway projects for Harnett
County with the commissioners.
Item 2.
Mr. Graham Henry, unofficial chairman of the Jury Commission
appeared before the Board requesting that the compensation of the
members of the jury commission be established. The suggested amount
was $1000 each.
ACTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner McLamb, it was resolved:
"Resolved that, the pay of the jury commission be set at
$1050 for Mr. Graham Henry and $1000 each for Mr. Fulton Patterson
and Mr. Mack Reid Hudson for the two year tenure of office."
Motion was seconded by Mr. Ray and carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at
11:45 a.m.
