HomeMy WebLinkAbout08221968191 SPECIAL MI :TING HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS BOARD MEETING August 22, 1968 A Special Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners convened on August 22, 1968. Those in attendance were: Messrs. M. H. Brock, Chairman; J. E. Womble and C. E. McLamb, Commissioners. Mr. Brock presided and called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M. Absent: Mr. Gilbert Brown and Mr. W. J. Cotton, Commissioners. Old Business was Waived. The following motion was unanimously carried upon a motion made by Mr. second by Mr. McLamb: "That the Tax Collector, Mr. Earl Jones, be authorized, empowered and commanded to collect the taxes set forth in the tax books filed in the office of the Harnett County Tax Supervisor and in the receipts herewith delivered to you, and in the amount and from the taxpayers therein set forth, (And also, all other taxpayers and taxes represented by official tax receipts for years other than the current year) and such taxes are hereby declared to be a first lien on all real property of the respective taxpayers in Harnett County and this order shall be a full and sufficient authority to direct, require and enable you to levy on anisell any real or personal property of said taxpayers, for anion account thereof in accordance with law."
