PUBLIC HEARING RELATING TO THE FY BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF HARNETT
The public hearing for the purpose of hearing any one wishing to speak regarding
the 1974 -75 Harnett County Budget Proposal was held on June 24, 1974, at 9:30
a. m.
Mr. George Perry Lee from Dunn appeared and spoke in behalf of the Dunn Rescue
Unit and requested additional consideration be given the rescue units of the
county in their financial operations.

DRAIN ANGIER W. J. Cotton, Jr.,seconded by C. E. McLamb, made a motion to approp-

Carried.
REference to School Budget, Section D, containing the B Budget, sub
School Budget title Second Alternate: Commissioner Etheridge made a motion, second
B appropriation. by W. J. Cotton, Jr., to appropriate $91,000. for the Library personn
el according to the Second Alternate of the School's B Budget. Motion
carried.
county -wide
tax rate Commissioner Cotton, seconded by Commissioner Brown, moved that the
county -wide tax rate be set at 770 per hundred dollar valuation and
all special levies as requested. Motion carried.
Tax Collections Commissioner Etheridge, seconded by Commissioner Cotton moved that all
charges tax collection charges be abolished. Motion carried.
