He told the Board that he had been approached by members of the squads who informed him that their finances were low and that they were in need of financial aid. Action was tabled temporarily. ERWIN LANDFILL A need for drainage for the Erwin Landfill was presented to the Board, with a suggested cost involved ranging from $200 to $500. Action was tabled. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m. SPECIAL MEETING ON MARCH 19, 1973, COURTHOUSE. The Board of Commissioners met in special session on March 19, 1973, 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, Courthouse, Lillington, N. C. All members were present, also, H. D. Carson, Jr., Clerk to the Board. HONEYWELL CONTRACT The Honeywell Maintenance Contract was discussed among the members of the Board, and it was agreed that the Buildings and Grounds committee would attempt to set a meeting with the representative of Honeywell to discuss the heating and cooling systems. This meeting was tentatively set for Thursday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. L B C & W The Building analysis as prepared by L B C & W Associde3was presented Bld. Analysis.for the pleasure of the Board. L B C & W LANDFILL SITE Commissioner Cotton moved to approve the building analysis, Commissioner McLamb seconded the motion and it carried. Commissioner Cotton moved to secure the services of L B C &_y as the Architect for the new building and request that the plans be drawn. Commissioner McLamb seconded the motion and it carried. The Board agreed to purchase a tract of land containing 40 acres, loc- ated off SR 1510, from Grady Earp, for $16,000. This motion was made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner McLamb and a unanimous vote. This land is described more particularly in Book 546, page 114 in the Harnett County Registry. ADJOURNED The meeting adjourned at 12 noon.
