H. Brock, reconvened the Commissioners meeting of July 3, 1972, on July 6, 1972, with all members of the Board present. Also present, H. D. Carson, Jr. Clerk and County Attorney, Edward H. McCormcik. The meeting was held in the Annex Building of the Board of Education. The other boards in attendance was the Board of Education and the Dunn Special School District Board, or their appropriate represent - atives and other interested parties, also a Finance Committee formed from three steering committees within the County. The Harnett County Tax Collector, W. Earl Jones, led in prayer. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the financing of the School Bond Issue that is under consideration, the election for which will be held in the fall. The issue is for the construction of three consolidated schools in the county and in the amount of seven million dollars. impose The It sales tax issue was discussed, as to the best possible method to /t &xIc it for the County, by levy of the Commissioners or by vote of the people. Call for vote of tax 2. Call for vote of bonds 3. Call for vote of abolishing Special School Tax when new schools are completed.
