be eligible in the future to receive Section 18 funds and 16 (b)
2 funds. Also, Ms. Neely stated that priority funding for CETA,
Title III, Title XX and ACYDF Funds will go to the counties
with an approved TDP program. Ms. Neely continued to explain
that in November, 1979, a TDP was presented to the Board of
Commissioners for consideration. The Board did not adopt this
Plan because of'its concept to implement a system to provide
transportation to the General Public and to employ a transpor-
tation coordinator. Ms. Neely explained that the County could
adopt .a: very basic TDP with its main goal being to coordinate
transportation services between the County Human Services De-
partments. The Board of Commissioners expressed their concern
that they did not want to establish a new County Transportation
Department and employ a training coordinator. The Board stated
that they would consider a Plan whereby a department would act
as the lead agency and organize a transportation plan. Commis-
