INSPECTION DEPARTMENT ordinance establishing the adoption, administration, and
enforcement of an inspection department in Harnett County
open at 8 p.m. as was duly advertised.
JERRY BULLOCK Jerry Bullock, Director of the Harnett County Housing and Urban
Development Office, appeared before the group to fully
describe this ordinance and to answer any questions the
public may have.
COMMENTS The following persons spoke concerning the ordinance: Fred
Jones, Thomas Maynard, Johnnie Hogue, Howie Youngblood, Bill
Guy, and Tommy Patterson.
PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED After no one else appeared before the Board to discuss this
ordinance, Chairman Jesse Alphin declared the public hearing
closed at 9:30 p.m.

Chairman Jesse Alphin reconvened the regular scheduled meeting
at 9:31 p.m.
Commissioner Brock introduced the ordinance, a copy of which
had been distributed to each Commissioner and the title of
which was read: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ADOPTION,
ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED CODES
AND ORDINANCES ALONG WITH THE AUTHORITY AND DUTIES OF THE
INSPECTION OFFICIALS. A copy of the aforementioned ordinance
was duly filed with H. D. Carson, Jr., Clerk to the Board, on
August 5, 1980.
There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of
Commissioners meeting of August 18, 1980, duly adjourned at
9:40 p.m.
