MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING REVOCATION OF MASSAGE PARLOR LICENSE
PUBLIC HEARING
CALL TO ORDER
Action
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday,Octeber
14, 1976, as a Hearing Board, under the provisions of the Harnett
County Massage Parlor Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to Regulate
the Business of Massage and Massage Parlors ", adopted by the Har-
nett County Board of Commissioners on July 19, 1976.
Bobby R. Etheridge, Chairman and Presiding Officer, called the
hearing to order at 7:45 P.M., with the following members of the
Board present: W. J. Cotton, Jr., Jesse Alphin, M. H. Brock, and
Lloyd G. Stewart.
Chairman Etheridge asked the County Attorney, Edward H. McCormick,
to conduct the hearing.
The County Attorney made mention of the fact for the record that
notice should be taken that a copy of the aforementioned ordinance
was presented for the official record, and a copy given to each
member of the Board, and that under the authority given under the
ordinance, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners had set a
hearing for October 14, 1976, to determine whether Shirley Wrenn
Lynch was in violation of the county ordinance. He asked also that
the record reflect that the respondent, Shirley Wrenn Lynch, was
not present.
Evidence was presented, and two fitnesses testified, B. E. Sturgill
Chief Deputy and Ronald Green, Deputy Sheriff.
After the hearing, the Board of Commissioners revoked the license
issued to Shirley Wrenn Lynch, based on the evidence presented and
the testimony of the witnesses.
The County Attorney, Edward H. McCormick, was directed by the Boarc
of Commissioners to draw an order revoking the license of the res-
pondent, Shirley Wrenn Lynch.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
