PUBLIC-HEARING CONCERNING PROPOSED' COATS -GROVE EMERGENCY AMBULANCE RESCUE SERVTCF DTSTRTCT
The Harnett County Board of,Comhissioners held a public hearing concerning
proposal to establish Coats -Grove Emergency Ambulance and Rescue Service
District on September 19, 1988, in the County Office Building, Lillington,
North Carolina, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Bill Shaw,
Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith,.and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Others
present were: Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; Glenn Johnson, County Attorney;
Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board.;. and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secre-
tary.
CALL TO ORDER Chairman Stewart called the public hearing to order at 7 p.m.

COMMENTS
Glenn Johnson, County Attorney, briefed the group that the purpose of the
public hearing was to allow the public to comment concerning the proposal to
establish Coats -Grove Emergency Ambulance and Rescue Service District.
Chairman Stewart opened the hearing for public comments.
The following citizens spoke in support of the proposed Coats -Grove Emergency
Ambulance and Rescue Service District:

3. John Williams, Rt. 1, Coats
4. Holly_Nutt, Railroad Street, Coats
5. Ann Jones, Rt. 1, Coats
6. Ray Wood, Rt. 1, Lillington
7. Leroy Williams, Isabella Street, Coats
8. Wade Norris, Coats
No one spoke in opposition to the proposed district.
Glenn Johnson, County Attorney, briefed the group that a resolution to esta-
blish the district will be considered at the next regular Board of Commis-
sioners meeting on October 3, 1988.
CLOSED Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing at 7:15 p.m.
