HomeMy WebLinkAbout06201988634 PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING F.Y. 88 -89 BUDGET, JUNE 20, 1988 The Harnett County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing regarding proposed F.Y. 88 -89 Budget on June 20, 1988, in the County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members present: Bill Shaw, Rudy Collins, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Others present were: Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; Glenn Johnson, County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board, and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary. CALL TO ORDER Chairman Stewart called the public hearing to order at 7 p.m. PURPOSE Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, briefed the group that the purpose of the public hearing was to allow the public to comment concerning the proposed Budget for Harnett County for F.Y. 88 -89. PUBLIC COMMENTS Chairman Stewart opened the hearing for public comments. The following citizens provided comments concerning the proposed budget: 1. Fred Taylor, Anderson Creek area 2. Johnnie Chalmers, Johnsonville Township 3. Richard Stevens, Barbecue Township 4. Wallace Betts, Rt. 1, Lillington 5. Nancy Holland, Lillington 6. Agnes Cannady, Dunn 7. Marjorie Baron 8. Jim Osborne, Sheriff Dept. 9. Flora Green Milton, Rt. 1, Lillington 10.
