HomeMy WebLinkAbout03071988 (2)554 SOUTH CENTRAL WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT MEETING, MARCH 7, 1988 CALL TO ORDER The Harnett County Board of Commissioners sitting as the governing body of South Central Water and Sewer District met March 7, 1988, in the County Office Building, Lililngton, North Carolina, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding... Commissioner Bill Shaw was absent. Others present were: Dallas H. Pope; County Manager; Glenn Johnson, County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board, and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary. Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order at 11:55 a.m. John M. Phelps, II, Public Utilities Attorney, made introductory comments and presented two resolutions to the Board for consideration. CONTRACT..h AGREEMENT Commissioner Collins made a motion to adopt a resolution authorizing WITH HARNETT CO. execution of contract and agreement with Harnett County. Commissioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. The resolution is copied in full at the end of these minutes dated March 7, 1988., as document No. 1. Commissioner Collins made a motion to adopt a resolution authorizing execution of contract and agreement regarding water service in Cumberland County. Commissioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. The resolution is copied in full at the end of these minutes dated March 7, 1988, as document No. 2. RESOULTION AUTHORIZING EXECU. OF AGREE: RE: WATER SERVICE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ADJOURNMENT DOCUMENT NO. 1. There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners sitting as the governing body of South Central Water and Sewer District duly adjourned at 12:00 noon. Exhibit "A" same RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT WITH HARNETT COUNTY WHEREAS, the Harnett .County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the governing body of the South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County (hereinafter "District "), has examined the Contract and Agreement between the District and the County of Harnett (hereinafter "County "), attached hereto as Exhibit "A "; and WHEREAS, District desires to enter into said contract as provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the governing body of the South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County, that: 1. South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County is hereby authorized to and shall enter into the Contract and Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". 2. The South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County and its officers and agents are hereby directed to execute said Contract and Agreement. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT REGARDING WATER SEI IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY WHEREAS, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the governing body of the South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County (hereinafter "District "), has examined the Contract and Agreement between the County of Harnett, the District and C. Thomas Wood, J. P. Riddle, Jr. and C J Water Corporation, et ale., attached hereto as Exhibit "A "; and WHEREAS, District desires to enter into said contract as provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the governing body of the South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County, that: 1. South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County is hereby authorized to and shall enter into the Contract and Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". 2. The South Central Water and Sewer District of Harnett County and its officers and agents are hereby directed to execute said Contract and Agreement.
