On September 8, 1987, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing
concerning Riverside Wastewater project in the County Office Building, Lillington,
North Carolina, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Mack Reid Hudson,
Mayo Smith, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Commissioner Bill Shaw was absent.
Others present were: Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board; Dallas H. Pope, County
Manager; Glenn Johnson, County Attorney, and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary.
CALL TO ORDER Chairman Stewart called the public hearing to order at 9:00 a.m.
PURPOSE

HEARING
Skip Green, Grants Consultant, appeared before the Board and stated that the purpose of
the meeting was to hear citizen's comments in association with the proposed wastewater
project. Mr. Green stated that in meeting with citizens in the Riverside Community
that the citizens expressed unanimous support for the project.
No comments were provided from citizens.
Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing at 9:15 a.m.
