The laws creating Extension were specificially designed to ensure that the findings of research in these areas were communicated to the people. Department of Agriculture and charged with carrying out educational work of the department. Upon acceptance by the Board of County Commissioners, they are also designated as field faculty members of either North Carolina State University, with professional rand, or A $ T State University.
