As per our telephone conversation yesterday, I wanted to let you know that Hanson would like to modify (amend) our Conditional Use Permit application to include all of the Hanson-controlled
properties that are currently non-conforming uses. As such, I would like to request that the Conditional Use application be moved from the December BOA meeting to the January meeting.
We feel it would be mutually beneficial to Hanson and to Harnett County to bring all of the non-conforming land into a conforming status with the underlying zoning, along with Conditional
Use for mining.
The parcels that will be added to application are: PIN#’s 0548-85-5432.000 (101.87 ac), 0548-94-4094.000 (25.05 ac), 0548-83-5334.000 (12.85 ac) in addition to the originally submitted
parcels. I have included a screen-shot from the Harnett County GIS website with all of the affected parcels highlighted.
We will submit our revised application and mapping to you, along with the additional $300 fee as soon as the work is complete; I wanted to give you a heads-up on the parcels so your
Department could identify the adjacent property owners. I think you’ll find that the newly added parcels only bring a small number of additional adjacent property owners, as Hanson
(under the Becker name) owns much of the adjacent land.
Please let me know if I’ve forgotten anything, or if there’s anything you need from Hanson.
