The NC DOT has conducted its own traffic impact analysis. Hanson has applied to the NC DOT for driveway permits involving two crossings, one of which is involved with this development application. Since the proposed mining operation only entails crossing Hwy 217 to transport raw materials for processing at its existing facility, traffic patterns should not be impacted. However, Hanson has agreed to use only one of two crossing per day, since the crossings will originate from two separate mine locations. Customers will continue to use the existing processing plant entrance for purchasing sand & gravel, so there will be no changes to existing traffic patterns. 2 3 Characteristics of road(s) within development: Hanson will install and maintain haul roads necessary to transport raw materials to its existing sand & gravel processing plant. NCDENR Land Quality Section regulates the haul roads installed on mine permitted land at the Hanson Aggregates - Elliott Sand & Gravel facility. ❑ Private Roads ❑ DOT Maintained Have you received Street Name Pre - Approval? ❑ Yes ❑ No N/A COMMERCIAL /MULTIFAMILY /ATTACHED SINGLE FAMILY N/A Total Number of Proposed Parking Spaces: Parking Area Surface Material: Attachments (Must be submitted with application) 0Qt- I- Qz F- zg g Ug w a Z 0 _ Z W J Z Ln amg QZ)zg o- Z) 57 t) a- n- (n tL d U 57 tL a.
