GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. SEE SURVEY FOR DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING FEATURES WITHIN SITE
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEMOLITION OF EXISTING ON SITE FACILITIES ABOVE AND
UNDERGROUND. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL FROM THE SITE OF ALL DEMOLISHED MATERIALS AND
THE FILLING OF ALL DEPRESSIONS CAUSED BY DEMOLITION AND GRADING OF THESEAREAS SO AS NOT TO BE OBJECTIONABLE
TO VIEW. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBSERVE ALL REQUIRED SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS WORK.
3. REMOVE ALL VEGETATION, ROLL AND COMPACT AREAS BEFORE REPLACING FILL. FILL SHALL HE PLACED IN 12" LAYERS, LOOSE
MEASURE AND COMPACTED 90% OF MAXIMUM DENSITYAS DETERMINED BYASTM D- 1557 - LATEST EDITION.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO STABILIZE SLOPED AREAS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GRADE AND SEED OR SOD THE
AREA WITH THE PROVISION THAT HE SHALL MAINTAIN THE SEEDED OR SODDED AREA AS REQUIRED UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT
THERE IS SUITABLE GROWTH TO ADEQUATELY PROTECT THE EMBANKMENT. THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SLOPE SHALL BE 2:1.
CONTRACTOR SHALL MATCH EXISTING GRADES AT ALL PROPERTY LINES AROUND SITE, UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN ON
GRADING PLAN. FINISHED GRADING AND LANDSCAPING BY LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS TO GRADE ALL
LANDSCAPED AREAS TO WITHIN 4'(0.33) OF FINISHED GRADES. ALL GRADES SHOWN ON GRAVING PLAN ARE FINISHED GRADES.
5. DIMENSIONS, BUILDING LOCATION AND GRADING OF THIS SITE ARE BASED ON AVAILABLE INFORMATION AT TIME OF LAYOUT.
DEVIATIONS MAYBE NECESSARY IN THE FIELD. ANY SUCH CHANGES OR CONFLICTS BETWEEN THIS PLAN AND FIELD CONDITIONS
ARE TO BE REPORTED TO THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION.
6. ALL CONSTRUCTION OF UTILITIES TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL BUILDING CODES.
7. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S FULL RESPONSIBILITY TO FURNISH AND INSTALL GAS AND WATER SERVICES AS REQUIRED. LINES TO BE
INSTALLED SHOULD BE EXTENDED FROM THE CLOSEST GAS OR WATER MAIN, CAP PLUGGED AT THE BUILDING. SEE PLUMBING
SHEETS FOR REQUIRED WATER SERVICE SIZE.
8. ELECTRIC SERVICE AND TELEPHONE SERVICE TO BE UNDERGROUND THROUGHOUT SITE IF ALLOWED BY LOCAL CODES AND
REGULATIONS.
9. LOCATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, EXISTING OR PROPOSED, ARE APPROXIMATE OR SCHEMATIC. LOCATION OF EXISTING
UTILITIES MUST BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION.
10. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS TO INCLUDE IN BID ALL UTILITY COSTS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE COMPLETE ELECTRICAL SERVICE,
SEWER TIE -IN, TAP FEES, CONNECTION COSTS AND WATER SERVICE AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL CODES AND UTILITY COMPANIES.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO EXTEND AND CONNECT SANITARY SEWER TO THE EXISTING SYSTEM. IF SEWER IS
NOT ADJACENT TO THE SITE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE TO EXTEND THE SANITARY SEWER SERVICE TO THE SITE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS. SANITARY SEWER LINE TO BE CONNECTED AT A MINIMUM 2% SLOPE USING A MINIMUM 6 "PIPE,
MATCHING EXISTING PIPE MATERIAL UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
12. CONCRETE SIDEWALKS TO BE 3,000 PSI CONCRETE, 4" THICK, WITH 6X6-WI. 4XW11.4 WELDED WIRE MESH REINFORCED WHERE
DESIGNATED.
13. ALL CONCRETE CURB IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED OF 3,000 PSI CONCRETE.
14. THE CONCRETE TRASH ENCLOSURE APRON SHALL BE 6" THICK OF 3,000 PSI CONCRETE REINFORCED WITH NO. 4 BARS AT 6" O.C.
EACH WAY.
15. CONCRETE DRIVE -THRU APPROACH TO BE 3,000 PSI CONCRETE 6" THICK WITH 6X6- W2.9XW2.9 W.W.F. WITH PREMOLDED
BITUMINOUS NON - EXTRUDING EXPANSION JOINTS AT 10' O.C.
16. CATCH BASINS TO BE CONSTRUCTED OF 3,000 PSI CONCRETE.
17. ALL CONCRETE PIPE 12" DIAMETER OR LARGER SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF ASTM DESIGNATION C -76 (CLASS IV WALL,
TYPE C) UNLESS NOTED ON PLANS.
18. .COMMERCIAL DRIVEWAYS TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY, COUNTY,
OR STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WHICHEVER APPLIES.
19. THE FOLLOWING PAVEMENT SPECIFICATION IS A RECOMMENDED MINIMUM, USE ONLY WHEN GEOTECHNICAL REPORT IS NOT
AVAILABLE. CONTRACTOR IS TO REFER TO THE SOILS REPORT FOR ACTUAL REQUIRED SPECIFICATION. PAVING TO BE 1 -1/2"
(TYPE 1 -2) FINISH COURSE, 1 -1/2" (HB) BINDER COURSE AND 6" ABC STONE BASE COMPACTED TO 95% OF MAXIMUM DENSITY AS
DETERMINED BY ASTM D -1557 -LATEST EDITION, AND SHAPED TO LINE AND GRADE AS PER GRADING PLAN. (SEE SHEET C -5 FOR
RECOMMENDED PAVEMENT SECTIONS).
20. ALL LOT STRIPING TO BE WHITE REFLECTIVE TRAFFIC PAINT AND IS TO CONFORM TO STATE D.O.T. SPECIFICATIONS.
21. ALL WORK TO BE PERFORMED THAT IS NOT COVERED BY THESE PLANS, SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
APPLICABLE STATE, COUNTY, OR LOCAL CODES. ALL WORK IN PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAYS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
STATE AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS.
22. HEIGHT AND SIZE OF ALL SIGNS TO BE DETERMINED BY WENDY'S INTERNATIONAL, INC. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FRANCHISEE
(IF APPROPRIATE) AND MUST CONFORM TO ALL LOCAL CODES AND REGULATIONS. HEIGHT SHALL BE THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED BY
LOCAL CODES UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE PLANS. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY SIZE AND LOCATION OF PROPOSED
WENDY'S LOGO WITH WENDY'S INTERNATIONAL, INC. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
23. APPROVED ALTERNATES TO DETAILS ARE NOTED WITH INDIVIDUAL DETAILS. ANY OTHER MATERIALS THATARE TO BE
SUBSTITUTED, OTHER THAN SPECIFIED, ARE TO BE SUBMITTED WITH SPECIFICATIONS AND DETAILS TO ENGINEER PRIOR TO
FINAL BIDS.
24. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO FURNISH LIGHTING ASSEMBLIES FROM ONE APPROVED MANUFACTURER ONLY LIGHTING PACKAGES
INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: POLES, LIGHT FIXTURES, MOUNTING BRACKETS, ANCHOR BOLTS AND HARDWARE.
25. THE CONTRACTOR IS ADVISED THAT THE SOILS BORING IS APART OF THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS. IF SOILS REPORT IS NOT
RECEIVED WITH THE BID SET, IT IS THE BIDDER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO OBTAIN AND REVIEW TI IF SOILS REPORT PRIOR TO
SUBMITTING FINAL BID.
26. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CALL UTILITY LOCATION SERVICE 1- 800 - 632 -4949 AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO STARTING
