Subject: Resolution
From Dwight Snow:
Kay,
Attached is the Resolution to Sell and Transfer Real Property which was adopted by the Board of
Commissioners last night. This version includes the correction of the business park name to
"Brightwater Business Park."
N.C. Gen. Stat. § 160A -267 requires that once the resolution has been adopted then a summary of the
resolution contents shall be published one time in a local newspaper. Ten days after the publication date
the transfer can be consummated.
Since the Resolution is short, I would go ahead and have the whole document published. There is no
mandate on the size of the publication. As usual, be thrifty.
