NORTH CAROLINA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE HARNETT COUNTY SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TEXT
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County adopted the Harnett County Subdivision
Regulations on April 7, 1977 for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the
county residents; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance was adopted under authority granted by the General Assembly of the State of
North Carolina, particularly G.S. 153A -330; and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Regulations contains provisions for amending said ordinance and those
provisions have been followed; and
WHEREAS, the Harnett County Planning Board has reviewed the amendments to Article III and V of the
Harnett County Subdivision Regulations and recommends the adoption of the following amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT
COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA that Article III, Sections 3.4.2 -B, 3.7.3 -B, 3.5 -L, 3.5 -M, 3.7.2 -B, 3.7.2 -E
and Article V, Section 5.2.1 of the Subdivision Regulations be amended as follows:
Delete the following text:
Article III, Section 3.4.2 b
I (officer authorized to take acknowledgments) do hereby certify that (name of registered surveyor)
personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of this certificate.

Article Ill, Section 3.5
L. Certification of approval of streets and street drainage plans and improvements by District Engineer,
North Carolina State Highway Commission.
M. `Certification of approval of water supply and sewage disposal systems, signed by the County Health
Director. A certificate of approval signed by the County Utilities Director is required when county
owned or operated public water and/or public sewage is to be utilized.
Article III, Section 3.7.2 -13
... The amount of deposit shall be equal to 1.50 times the entire cost, as estimated by the subdivider,
and verified by the County, of installing all required improvements.
Article III, Section 3.7.2 -E
... Should this alternative method be used, the method of payment chosen shall be equal to 1.50
times the cost of installing all remaining required improvements according to the standards required
by the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Article V, Section 5.2.1
A maximum of two (2) entrances per major subdivision are allowed unless additional entrances are approved
by the Harnett County Planning Board.
Adding the following text:
Article III, Section 3.7.2 -13
... The amount of deposit shall be equal to 1.25 times the entire cost, as estimated by the subdivider,
and verified by the County, of installing all required improvements.
Article III, Section 3.7.2 -E
... Should this alternative method be used, the method of payment chosen shall be equal to 1.25
times the cost of installing all remaining required improvements according to the standards required
by the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Article V, Section 5.2.1
A maximum of two (2) entrances per major subdivision are allowed unless additional entrances are approved
by the Harnett County Planning Board. The Planning Board may grant additional entrances through the
granting of a variance meeting the requirements set forth in Article VII Section 7.1 of this Ordinance. No
variance shall be granted which conflicts with any other local, state or federal statutes, Ordinances or
regulations.
Duly adopted this 18th day of June, Two Thousand One and effective upon adoption.
