Mr. Thomas presented a map to the Board noting the area represented by the petition efforts. RAY & KAREN Ray and Karen Moore, 905 Cool Springs Road, appeared before the Board and expressed MOORE - ZONING their belief that those residents on the zoning petition for RA-20R, that was approved • PETITION earlier by the Board (9/20/99), would prefer RA-30. Therefore, they requested that the Board direct staff to consider rezoning of this property as soon as possible. Discussion by the Board recognized that such action would prohibit development permitted under RA-20R but not provided for under RA-30. It was noted that this action would delay some on -going projects in the community involved. One such development is owned by Mr. Mike Ray and wife, who were present and requested to address the Board. Chairman Andrews asked the Board for a motion regarding this request. Commissioner Hill made a motion to allow Mr. & Mrs. Ray to address the Board. Commissioner Titchener seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Mr. Ray informed the Board that he had spent $280,000 and asked the Board to delay action that would prohibit further development of his property. Lori Tomaszewski, Chief Planner, informed the Board that Mr. Ray had met the requirements and obtained the necessary permits for his development project. Mrs. Ray stated that citizens need to be educated on the difference in RA-20R and RA-30. The Board of Commissioners took no action on the Moore's request. AIRPORT GRANT Wm. A.
