ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
HARNETT COUNTY FIRE PREVENTION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, this Board adopted an Ordinance September 24,
1991 entitled "Harnett Countv Fire. Prevention Ordinance "; and
WHEREAS, this Board is of the opinion that the
amendments set forth below are necessary to the clear and
efficient working of the Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N. C. Gen. Stat. 153A -364, G.S.
160A -424, 153A -351 and G.S. 160A -411 the North Carolina
Building Code Council adopted effective January 1, 1993 as a
mandatory inspection schedule for Volume V of the North
Carolina State Building Code on December 10, 1991 the
following:
Once every year: Hazardous, institutional, high rise,
assembly and multi - family residential
Once every two years: Educational except public schools
and industrial
Once every three years: Businesses, mercantile, storage,
churches and synagogues
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
THAT Section 4 of the Harnett County Fire Prevention Code be
amended to the new mandatory State Inspection Schedule
effective January 1, 1993.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
HARNETT COUNTY FIRE PREVENTION ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners ordained on
September 24, 1991 the Harnett County Fire Prevention
Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the State of North Carolina adopted a mandatory
inspection schedule as part of Volume V of the North Carolina
Building Code; and
WHEREAS, this amendment supersedes the inspection
schedule of our present ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
THAT Section 5 of the Harnett County Fire Prevention
Ordinance be amended as follows:
