Jay,
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you on this staff review.
Public Utilities has approved the original map for Colonial Hills with one water tap on Lot #24A. If the owner
wants to subdivide this lot into Lot # 24-A1 and Lot # 24-A2, then the owner must pay HCDPU the full tap fee +
deposit before Public Utilities can sign off on this new plat. In addition, We will need to know that the
Environmental Health Department has approved the final soils report and that both lots can be supported by
septic tanks and associated drain fields before we can accept the payment for the new tap.
If the owner is ready to pay for the additional tap then he should request the Environmental Health
Department to notify Public Utilities that the final soils report is OK and then make the payment at our office
and ask for Jaime Phelps to handle it. Jaime will contact me when the payment has been remitted and then I
will release the final plat for recording. Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Tim
