Public water is available for this development (via Harnett County)
Comments: Harnett County Department of Public Utilities (HCDPU) has inspected the water line
extensions
along Scranton Ct, Boston Hbr, Abigail Ln, and Petticoat Way that was installed to serve the Village of
Lexington - Part 1 Subdivision.
These water mains should be able to adequately serve this project with domestic (potable) water and fire
flow for the fire hydrants. The plans for the water line extensions from the existing Harnett County
water
main on Crutchfield Drive have been previously submitted to HCDPU and NCDENR-PWSS for review and
approval. The proposed water line extensions for this project were permitted by NCDENR-PWSS under
Serial Number 07-00348. The utility contractor has completed the construction of the water lines in
accordance with the NCDENR and HCDPU approved plans.
The PE has submitted the As-Built Record Drawings (paper, mylar & digital formats), the PE Certification
for this utility project; however, the Developer has not provided HCDPU with the Cost Statement for the
for the water line(s) installed to serve this subdivision. These documents must be submitted to HCDPU
prior to the final plat being stamped by the Development Review Board (DRB). See the Approval Process
for New Water Line Extensions as described on the Harnett County website. Once the Developer
provides
HCDPU with the Cost Statement for the Utility Improvements then the final plat may be released for
recordation with the Harnett County Register of Deeds.
NOTE: HCDPU provides this information as a curteousy to the developer and professional engineer for
design purposes. However, HCDPU cannot be held liable for errors, mistakes, ommissions, and
inaccurate
information provided through this preliminary and/or final plat approval process. It is therefore
recommended that the professional engineer or developer "field verify" the information provided by
HCDPU.
Sewer
Public sewer is available for this development (via Harnett County)
Comments: Harnett County Department of Public Utilities (HCDPU) has inspected the sewer line
extensions along Scranton Ct, Boston Hbr, Abigail Ln, and Petticoat Way that was installed to serve the
Village of Lexington - Part 1 Subdivision.
These sewer mains and associated service lines should be able to adequately serve this project with the
collection of wastewater. The plans for the sewer line extensions from the existing Harnett County sewer
main on Crutchfield Drive have been previously submitted to HCDPU and NCDENR-DWQ for review and
approval. The proposed sewer line extensions for this project were permitted by NCDENR-DWQ under

Permit # WQ 0030914M. The utility contractor has completed the construction of the sewer lines in
accordance with the NCDENR and HCDPU approved plans.

water lines to new developments at the county's expense and HCDPU will not provide assistance to
upgrade, install or improve the new or existing water services in the proximity of this project unless the
developer can provide HCDPU proper justification and demonstrate a benefit for Harnett County.

CONDITIONS:
SHORT TERM:
The Developer must provide HCDPU with the Cost Statement for the utility improvements before the
final plat may be released for recordation with the Harnett County Register of Deeds.
HCDPU and the P.E. have submitted the final certifications to NCDENR - PWSS to obtain the Final
Approval for the new water line(s) installed to serve this subdivision. HCDPU may release water
meters
for the lots of this new subdivision once the NCDENR - PWSS Final Approval has been issued to
HCDPU,
the E-911 addresses have been assigned to the lots and the Developer has paid the Capacity Use
Fees.

LONGE RANGE:
The Developer and Contractor must provide HCDPU with a one (1) year warranty on the new water
mains and sewer collection lines and associated appurtenances that serve this project once the new
utility improvements have been approved by HCDPU and NCDENR.
