Nearest water line size: 6" water line is on Stone Cross Drive and Cobblestone Drive which should be
adequate to provide water to this development.
Notes: • Road grades were not established for the Utility Contractor in Phase 2 Section 1 and the
water lines were installed. The water lines ended up under the pavement as a result of
the
road not being pproperly staked out from the beginning of the project.
• Water lines in Phase 2 Section 1 were installed without the NCDENR permit or HCDPU
approval. The NCDENR permit was eventually acquired and then certified by the P.E.
• As-Built Record Drawings for Phase 2 section 1 were never provided to HCDPU as
promised.
These record drawings must be provided to HCDPU in paper, mylar and digital formats for
Phase 2 Section 1 before the preliminary plat for Phase 2 Section 2 will be approved by
HCDPU.
• A two (2) year warranty must be provided to HCDPU for the water lines in Phase 2 Section
1
and the warranty period shall begin once the As-Built Record Drawings for Phase 2 section
1
have been submitted to HCDPU. The As-Built Record Drawings have not been
received by HCDPU as of October 22, 2007 at 5:00 pm.
• NCDENR permit for new water lines must be issued for the Phase 2 Section 2 before
construction may begin.
• Fire hydrants in Phase 2 Section 1 were not installed to finish grade and these fire
hydrants
must be re-positioned to finish grade before the preliminary plat will be approved by
HCDPU. The fire hydrants have been re-positioned to finish grade as required.
• The utility contrator did not have a pre-construction meeting with HCDPU for Phase 2
Section 1 and the utility contractor must provide HCDPU with material submittal package
at
the pre-construction meeting for Phase 2 Section 2 or the project permit will be rescinded
with NCDENR by HCDPU and the development will be issued a STOP WORK ORDER.

• Accurate As-Built Record Drawings for Phase 2 Section 1 of the Stone Cross subdivision
must be submitted to HCDPU in paper, mylar and digital formats.
• The developer must provide HCDPU with a two (2) year warranty on the water lines in
Phase 2 Section 1 to begin once the As-Built Record Drawings for Phase 2 Section 1
have been submitted to HCDPU.
• A Master Development Plan should be submitted to HCDPU for the entire development
of the Stone Cross subdivision.
