LOCATION: Hwy 87 NUMBER OF LOTS: 18 patio homes;119 single family; 266 town homes TOTAL ACRES: 120.4 acres OPEN SPACE: 24.7 acres ZONING: RA-20R and Conservation WATERSHED: NA FLOOD ZONE: NA TRAFFIC COUNT: 18,000 vehicles per day along Hwy 87 WATER: Public water system SEWER: Public septic system REQUEST  The applicant is requesting preliminary approval for a Planned Unit Development (PUD).  This development will have three open space areas totaling 24.7 acres, minimum area required is 12.4 acres. According to the Land Use Plan, this area is projected to be a Compact Mixed Use area.  The BOA approved the conditional use permit for this proposal on October 10 with the following recommends: 1)Melody Ln be brought up to NCDOT standards, 2)proposed development dependent upon proposed sanitary sewer system, 3)Explore the possibility for another entrance.
