Public Utilities: THE PLANS AND PROFILES FOR THE WATER AND SEWER LINE
EXTENSIONS FROM THE EXISTING SIX (6") INCH WATER MAIN AND
THE SEWER LIFT STATION MUST BE BE APPROVED BY HCDPU AND
NCDENR.
: IF A BOND WILL BE PLACED ON FILE WITH HARNETT COUNTY FOR THE
UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, THEN A COPY OF THE COST ESTIMATES MUST
BE CERTIFIED BY A PE AND SUBMITTED TO HCDPU FOR APPROVAL
PRIOR TO RECORDING THE SUBDIVISION MAP.
: The water and sewer line extensions should be installed by a utility
contractor, certified by a PE and approved by HCDPU and NCDENR prior
to issuing the building permits.
: The utility plans must meet all minimum requirements established by
NCDENR and Harnett County. Once construction is complete thePE
must submit at three (3) copies of the As-Built Record drawings, PE
Certifications and Coststatements for the utility improvements that will
serve this project in accordance with the Approval Process for New
Water Line Extensions and the Approval Process for New Sewer Line
Extensions as described on the Harnett County website.

LONG RANGE CONDITIONS
The following conditions must be satisfied
Public Utilities: The Developer and Contractor must provide HCDPU with a one (1) year
warranty on the new water and sewer collection lines and associated
appurtenances that serve this project once the newutility improvements
have been approved by HCDPU and NCDENR.

If APPROVED, your signed plat/plan may be picked up at the Planning Department or will be
mailed to you the next business day.
If APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS, you must submit 5 copies of the plat/plan showing that all
items listed under Short Term Conditions have been rectified.
If HELD, you must submit 10 copies of the plat/plan showing that all items listed under Short
Term Conditions have been rectified.
If DENIED, you may appeal the Board’s Decision to the Harnett County Planning Board within 30
days or meet with Planning Staff to discuss other potential options.
