Public Utilities (910)893-7575: Public Utilities can serve the project with county water right now as we
:
have a 6” water line on Lafayette Road and a 12” water line on US 401
N. The county will be extending an 18” sewer outfall line from the
Lafayette Elementary school down along the creek to the FV-Lillington
Wastewater Interceptor in the next few months. This new sewer outfall
line will be sized large enough to serve the Woods of Lafayette, the
next phase of Victoria Hills and the Lafayette Elementary school once it
is in place. It may be able to serve more property on the west side of
US 401 N at a later time. Right now, we are working with the
Developer’s engineer to provide the plans for that sewer outfall line so
they can connect to it. If you need me to complete a staff report for
the revised drawing then let me know. But, Public Utilities can approve
the preliminary plan/plat with the understanding that this subdivision
will be connected to county water and sewer.
