December 1, 2006
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, December
1, 2006, in the Commissioners Conference Room, County Administration Building, 102
East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill, Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews
Walt Titchener
Tim McNeill
Staff present: Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Assistant County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney
Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Joseph Jeffries, Planning Director
Mark Locklear, Manager of Planning Services
Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. and called on Mr. Jeffries.
Mr. Jeffries reviewed proposed text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance
and Subdivision Regulations Ordinance. The proposed changes will create a
Development Review Board
to provide a comprehensive review of all technical aspects
of the ordinances. After a thorough discussion by the commissioners and staff, the Board
th
instructed staff to add the item to the agenda for consideration at the December 4
meeting. A public hearing was held on the matter November 20, 2006.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
