Minutes of Special Session
January 12, 2010
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session Tuesday, January 12, 2010,
in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administrative Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Timothy B. McNeill, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill, Vice-Chairman
Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner
Gary House, Commissioner
Jim Burgin, Commissioner
Staff present: Scott Sauer, County Manager
Tony Wilder, Deputy County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer
Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney
Gina Daniel,Acting Clerk
The following agenda was before the Board:
1) Presentation of Draft Comprehensive Transportation Plan and Update on
US 401 Improvements
2) Update on Brightwater Science and Technology site development
3) Public Buildings service contracts and facility maintenance
4) Fiscal Update& Budget Calendar
5) County Manager's Updates and Review of Upcoming Meetings
6) Closed Session(Personnel Matter)
7) Lunch will be served
Vice Chairman Hill moved that the Board go into closed session for the following purposes:
1) To discuss certain personnel matters, and
2) To accept information from, and to consider and give instructions to the legal staff
concerning the handling of a claim.
This motion is made pursuant to N.C. General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(6)&(3).
Commissioner Andrews seconded the motion that passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Hill moved that the Board come out of closed session. Commissioner Andrews
seconded the motion that passed unanimously= tithe meeting was adjourned.
