Tuesday, February 23, 2010
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, February 23,
2010,in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administrative Building, 102 East Front
Street, Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Timothy B. McNeill, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill,Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner
Jim Burgin, Commissioner
Gary House, Commissioner
Staff present: Scott-Sauer, County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer
Gina Daniel, Acting Clerk
Chairman McNeill called the meeting to order at 9:00 am and led the pledge of allegiance and.
invocation.
The following agenda was before the Board:
1-Interview with Financial Advisors:9:00 am DEC and Associates (Doug Carter)
10:00 am First Southwest(Janice Burke)
11:00 am Davenport Investments (Bob High)
Noon-Lunch
2-Mobile Home Park Waiver Requests,Jennifer Slusser
3-USDA Guidelines for Consideration,Jennifer Slusser
4-Finance Officer Report
5- County Manager: - draft agenda review for March 1st and various project
updates
Commissioners had previously approved the Board of Education's request for special funding to
repair and reworking the Harnett Central High School football field however Chairman McNeill
noted that the soccer field was not included in the motion. Chairman McNeill moved to approve
an addition$11,000 in funding for the soccer field and ask that the Harnett Central Booster Club
contribute a local match. Commissioner Andrews seconded the motion thatp assed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:47 pm.
