The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday,May 11, 2010,
in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administrative Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Timothy B. McNeill, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill,Vice-Chairman
Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner
Gary House, Commissioner
Jim Burgin, Commissioner
Staff present: Scott Sauer, County Manager
Tony Wilder,Deputy County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer
Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney
Amanda Bader, County Engineer
Gina Daniel,Acting Clerk
Chaiuuian McNeill called the meeting to order at 9:00 am and led the pledge of allegiance and
invocation.
The following agenda was before the Board:
1. Convenient Site Improvements Plan,Lisa Childers and Jerry Blanchard
2. Employee Benefits Discussion
3. Harnett County Agricultural Board—Voluntary Agriculture District Presentation,
William Dan Andrews and Gary Pierce
4. Worker's Compensation,Melinda Bethune
5. Finance Officer's Report, Sylvia Blinson
6. County Manager: Draft agenda review for May 16th and various project updates
7. Closed Session
Vice Chairman Hill moved that the.board go into closed session for the following purposes:
a) To consider and give instructions to the County's legal staff concerning the handling of a
certain lawsuit entitled, "Woodshire Partners, LLC vs. County of Harnett et al",Harnett
County Superior Court File No. 10 CVS 446; and

b) To discuss certain personnel matters.
The motion is made pursuant to N.C. General.Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(3)&(6). The motion
was seconded by Commissioner Andrews and passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Hill moved that the Board come out of closed session. Commissioner Andrews
seconded the motion that passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:06 pm.
