062110ss Harnett County Board of Commissioners Minutes of Special Session June 21, 2010 The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, June 21, 2010, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administrative Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington,North Carolina. Members present: Timothy B. McNeill, Chairman Beatrice B. Hill,Vice-Chairman Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner Gary House, Commissioner Jim Burgin, Commissioner Staff present: Scott Sauer, County Manager Tony Wilder,Deputy County Manager Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney Sarilyn Leary, Staff Attorney Gina Daniel,Acting Clerk Chairman McNeill called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm and led the pledge of allegiance and invocation. Closed Session Commissioner Burgin moved that the Board go into closed session for the following purposes: 1) To discuss certain personnel matters, and 2) To give instruction to County legal staff concerning the handling of certain claims including but not limited to the following case: a. Wayne Phillip Farrar, et al v. County of Harnett 09CVS2009. This motion is made pursuant to N.C. General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(6). Commissioner Andrews seconded the motion that passed unanimously. Vice Chairman Hill moved that the Board come out of closed session.
