March 28, 2011
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, March 28,
2011, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front
Street, Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Timothy B. McNeill, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill,Vice-Chairman
Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner
Gary House, Commissioner
Jim Burgin, Commissioner
Staff present: Scott Sauer, County Manager
Dwight Snow,County Attorney
Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Office
Gina Wheeler, Clerk
Chairman McNeill called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and led the pledge and invocation.
The.following agenda was before the Board:
1) General Services,Public Buildings: Review lawn maintenance issues—Jerry
Blanchard and Chris Johnson
2) Public Utilities Project Update: Cameron Hills Transmission line—Amanda Bader
and Steve Ward
3) County Manager reports and updates on various projects and issues
4) Closed Session
Commissioner Burgin moved that the Board go into closed session to discuss and consider
certain personnel matters. This motion is made pursuant to N.C. General Statute Section 143-
318.11(a)(6). Vice Chairman Hill seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Hill moved to come out of closed session. Commissioner Andrews seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Hill moved to adjourn the a ee. _• at noon. Commissioner House seconded the
