Minutes of Special Session—Budget
June 6, 2013
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Thursday, June 6, 2013,
in the County Manager's Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Jim Burgin, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill, Commissioner
Joe Miller, Commissioner
C. Gordon Springle, Commissioner
Member absent: Gary House, Vice Chairman
Staff present: Tommy Burns, County Manager
Joseph Jeffries,Deputy County Manager
Tony Wilder,Deputy County Manager
Kimberly Honeycutt,Assistant to the Finance Officer
Margaret Regina Wheeler, Clerk to the Board
Chairman Burgin called the meeting to order at 9:00 am. Commissioner Miller led the Pledge of
Allegiance and invocation.
Mr. Burns discussed the budget and how we arrived at this point; revenues then expenses.
Detailed budget discussions continued. Mr. Burns also announced that Sylvia Blinson has
announced her retirement.
Commissioner Springle moved to adjourn the meeting at 11:48 am. Commissioner Hill
seconded the motion that passed 4—0.
