Minutes of Special Session—Budget
June 11,2013
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, June 11, 2013,
in the County Manager's Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Jim Burgin, Chairman
Gary House,Vice Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill, Commissioner
Joe Miller, Commissioner
C. Gordon Springle, Commissioner
Staff present: Tommy Burns, County Manager
Joseph Jeffries, Deputy County Manager
Tony Wilder,Deputy County Manager
Kimberly Honeycutt,Assistant to the Finance Officer
Margaret Regina Wheeler, Clerk to the Board
Chairman Burgin called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.
Mr. Burns provided a summary of adjustments that staff has made to the proposed budget since
the last meeting. Mr. Jeffries and Mrs. Honeycutt gave an overview of proposed increases in
projected revenues. Budget discussions continued.
Commissioner House left the meeting early. Commissioner Hill moved to adjourn the meeting
at 11:23 am. Commissioner Miller seconded the motion that passed 4—0.
