The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met jointly with the Harnett County Board of
Education in special session on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in the Commissioners Meeting Room,
County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington,North Carolina.

Chairmen Burgin and Levorse called the meeting to order at 9:00 am. Commissioner Beatrice
Hill led the pledge of allegiance and invocation.

Commissioners,Board Members and staff introduced themselves. Chairman Burgin recognized
present Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) Provost Bill Tyson, and BRAC Executive
Director Greg Taylor.
Following the agenda and much discussion between the two Boards and staff, Board Member
Kevin Gregory motioned to recess the Board of Education meeting. Board Member Ray Bryant
seconded the motion the passed unanimously and the Board of Education members and staff left
the meeting. The Harnett County Board of Commissioners continued to meet, discussing other
business and upcoming meetings.
Commissioner Springle moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:35 pm. Commissioner Hill seconded
the motion which passed unanimously.
