The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, September 15,
2015, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front
Street, Lillington, North Carolina.

Commissioners and staff reviewed and discussed the following items on the agenda that was
before the Board:
➢ Avian Flu Update, Harnett County Cooperative Extension and Soil and Water staff
➢ Request for seven new positions, Sheriff Larry Rollins
➢ Discussion regarding staffing needs for HARTS, Barry Blevins
➢ Discussion regarding Harnett County Jetport sign, Barry Blevins
➢ County Manager's Report:
- September 21, 2015 Regular Meeting Agenda Review
➢ Closed session
➢ Adjourn
Vice Chairman Springle moved that the Board go into closed session to consult with the
County's legal staff in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege concerning the handling of a
certain claim. This motion is made pursuant to N.C. General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(3).
Commissioner McKoy seconded the motion that passed 4-0.
Commissioner Elmore moved that the Board come out of closed session. Vice Chairman
Springle seconded the motion that passed 4-0.
