Special Meeting (work session)
March 18, 2005
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, March
18, 2005 in the Human Resources Conference Room, County Administration
Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Beatrice B. Hill, Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews
Walt Titchener
Tim McNeill
Chairman Teddy Byrd was absent.
Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Vice Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
The Board visited Central Permitting.
Mr. Emory led a discussion on the following items:
1. Reminder that the Board and Mr. Emory have been invited to meet with Campbell
University representatives March 23, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. in the Pine Burr Room to
discuss roadways and an overlay district in the Buies Creek community.
2. Staff has had meetings with Fort Bragg regarding Water and Sewer service
proposals.
3. Good Hope Hospital
Commissioner McNeill discussed the fact that Harnett County is under-represented on
the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees. He discussed how
members are currently appointed and suggested options to improve the system.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
