The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Thursday, May 8,
2008, in the Commissioners,Conference Room, County Administration Building, 102
East Front Street, Lillington,North Carolina.

Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Assistant County Manager
Vanessa W. Young, Finance Officer
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Guest: Frances Avery, candidate for county commissioner
Jim Burgin, candidate for county commissioner
Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Emory led a review and discussion of the proposed FY 2008-09 Budget in a work
session format.
There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners special
meeting May 8, 2008 recessed at 2:30 p.m. until Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
