The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, November 21, 2008, in the Commissioners Conference Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill, Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews
Gary House
Commissioner Tim McNeill was absent.
Staff present: Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Interim County Manager
Vanessa W. Young, Finance Officer
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Guest: David Fischer, Public Finance Department, Wachovia
Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Fischer discussed the current climate concerning finance. He noted that Harnett County’s debt service is level and lowering. Mr. Fischer and Ms. Young explained requirements for
the Local Government Commission to approve the sale of bonds for funding of County projects such as schools.
There being no further business, the work session adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
