Citizen oppositionJay, I did not see this e-mail (sent yesterday) until just now. From: Erica Trudeau <etrudeau114@yahoo.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 8:30 AM To: Subdivision <subdivision@harnett.org> Subject: Case #PLAN1810-0001 Dear Board Members: Hello. I am deaf so tonight's meeting is not the best forum for me. I wanted to send this email to make sure you received our opinion. My husband and I live at #237 Baptist Grove Rd. across the street from the proposed entrance. We have large picture windows in our living room and dining room facing the road and are concerned about the frequent headlights shining in. We are also concerned with the traffic for multiple reasons. First, as we try to get out our driveway, and secondly turning onto 401 in the morning which can already be frustrating on certain days. We just bought the home a year ago and while we assumed growth like this was inevitable we thought we had at least 5 years. We both work in Durham but decided the long commute was worth it to live more in the country since we both come from rural/agricultural backgrounds. This is something we just lived through. We bought a home in Apex off Olive Chapel Road in 2011 and sold it in late 2016. During that time 540, the Publix shopping center and multiple small businesses were built within half a mile. The field across from our neighborhood was turned into housing. At the time we sold there were five or more subdivisions being built within a 2 mile radius. It was too congested, traffic got drastically worse, and we dealt with constant construction for most of th year we owned the house. By moving farther out we really though we were alleviating some of that. We are opposed to the entire project, as all nearby neighbors seem to be. Thank you for your time in reading this.
