The purpose of the investigation was to determine the existence of a subsurface sewage waste disposal system on each lot and to make surface observations relative to their apparent operation. All soil ratings and determinations were made in accordance with "Laws and Rules for Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems, 15A NCAC 18A .1900". It is our understanding that individual septic systems and public water supplies will be utilized at this site. Lot B has an existing residence with an existing septic system that appeared to be functioning properly on the day of the investigation. This existing septic system appeared to be located within any setback requirements for this property. A soil investigation was conducted and it appears that an adequate amount of suitable soil exists on this lot to 100 % repair the system if it should fail. Lot C has an existing residence with an existing septic system that appeared to be - functioning properly on the day of the investigation. This existing septic system appeared to be located within any setback requirements for this property. A soil investigation was conducted and it appears that an adequate amount of suitable soil exists on this lot to 100 % repair the system if it should fail. Lot D has two existing mobile homes, each with an existing septic system that appeared to be functioning properly on the day of the investigation. Each existing septic system appeared to be located within any setback requirements for this property. Soil Science Investigations • Wetland Delineations,Permitting,and Consulting HAL OWEN & ASSOCIATES, INC. An additional investigation was conducted on Lot A at the proposed site of a home to be built in the future and the soils were found to be suitable for septic systems. There appears to be many options for you septic disposal needs associated with the new home. The soils throughout this property on the uplands are wind-blown sediments with loamy sand surfaces that extended to greater than three feet in many places. Below these light colored soils are bright colored sandy loam layers that demonstrate the well to excessively drained nature of these soils. These soils, in my opinion, are the best soils for subsurface sewage waste disposal that you can find. Fifty feet of conventional drainline per bedroom in the home should be adequate for decades. This soil investigation report and map, when provided to the Harnett County Health Department, should allow them to sign the maps for recordation.
