To whom it may concern,
Thank you for submitting the plans for the Building Renovations. The plans have been
carefully reviewed by a qualified code enforcement official to examine for compliance
with the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code and all other fire protection regulatory
documents. There are some items that were found during the plan review process that
need to be addressed before a final inspection of the new facility can be given. These
items are outlined and described below.
0 506.1 Knox Box ( If an existing box is on site, disregard this Note)
o A Knox Box is required to be installed on the building. Please see the link
below to order Knox box. Paper order form available upon request.

0 505.1 Address Numbers
o The physical address shall be installed on the building so that it is visible
from the approach side contrasting color and a minimum size of 6 inch.
0 906.1 Fire Extinguishers required.
o A minimum 2A10BC classification of fire extinguisher is required on each
floor and located so that the maximum travel distance to reach an
extinguisher does not exceed 75ft.
o Fire Extinguishers shall be located in approved cabinets along corridors
and hallways.
o All fire extinguishers shall be mounted not higher than 5ft. above the
finished floor and in accordance with NFPA 10.

o Install emergency light/exit combinations in corridor 113.

o A final fire inspection is required.
o Schedule all fire inspections through the Fire Marshal's Office.
