Observations: Builder requested evaluation of the thllowing specific item noted on Inspection Report dated 7/19/17: 6. "Missing 2-2x10 header in half bath ceiling for stairs". Recommendations: Based on our on-site observation and review: 6. The following steps shall be taken to properly support the stairs in the half bath ceiling: A. The builder shall cut back the stair end of the F l l floor truss and install a 2x12 at the top of the stairs attached to the 2x4 at the top and bottom of the 3/4" OSB. Attach with(2) 10d nails spaced at 3" O.C. to each 2x4. B. Support the top of the stair assembly with a minimum of(1)jack stud at each end. C. Attach the Ell floor truss with a minimum of(2) l0d nails between each member and the 2x12. D. Install a(2)2x6 header over the half bathroom door.
