The plans have been carefully reviewed by a qualified code enforcement official to examine for compliance with the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code and all other fire protection regulatory documents. There are some items that were found during the plan review process that need to be addressed before a final inspection of the new facility can be given. These items are outlined and described below. • Comments o Provide a hazardous materials management plan and inventory of all chemicals stored and used. o Approved flammable & combustible liquids cabinets may be required where exceeding 10 gallons inside the building. o Verify the classification and division wiring method in labs and exhaust fans? (If flammable &combustible liquids are stored or used in labs). • 506.1 Knox Box o A Knox Box is required to be installed on the building. Please see the link below to order Knox box. Recommend emergency illumination in bathrooms consistent with Accessibility code. • Comments o A final fire inspection is required. o Schedule all fire inspections through the Fire Marshal's Office.
